Lexington, KY- The Eventing Riders Association of North America (ERA of NA) is pleased to announce the launch of the Adult Amateur Gem Award program. This new program is intended to recognize Adult Amateur members for their accomplishments at the Beginner Novice through Advanced levels. After completing the predetermined number of Qualifying Rides, program participants will be eligible to receive a Gem Pin to be worn on their stock-tie or lapel denoting their accomplishments and consistency at the level.

In order to take part in the ERA of NA Adult Amateur Gem Award program individuals must be current ERA of NA Plus Members and a current USEA Member with Adult Amateur status and have achieved Qualifying Rides (QR) at the level. A QR is achieved when a horse/rider combination has scored 50 or less in the dressage, completed the cross country without jumping faults, and had three or less rails in the Show Jumping. These scores can be achieved with multiple horses over multiple years.

“There are Adult Amateurs out there doing amazing things with astonishing commitment,” said Jen Azevedo, ERA of NA Board Member. “This program gives them a platform to be recognized and regarded for their accomplishments across all levels within the sport.”
